The Capit “Grid Caddy” has been designed to allow the user to take 2 motorcycle tyres/wheels strategically placed on either side of the trolley whilst allowing them to be plugged into the generator to keep them warm and ready if need be for a quick swap. The Grid Caddy features 2 platforms, one for the generator, which is usually placed on the lowest platform and the upper platform, allows the user to have whatever necessary tools they see fit on top for easy access.
With the design of it having the generator nice and low, the wheels either side of the trolley, it makes for a very well balanced, safe trolley to get the gear onto the grid and back. It features 12” sized pneumatic tyres which allow the user to get around all of the tracks/pit areas here in Australia that have rocks and unkempt areas around the pits. Even if you don’t need it on the grid, it makes for a perfect wheel holder in your pit garage for your second set of tyres you might have on warmers ready to swap out.
At certain race tracks/series in Australia, some organisers won’t allow certain sized equipment to be used, as it can be a hazard if the item is too large. Not the case with the Capit Grid Caddy, with its minimal dimensions it can be used anywhere and everywhere without issue. The Grid Caddy’s sold in Australia (please see pictures) can be modified to allow you to install your own power board if you chose, making it even easier and simpler to use. If you look for this item on the internet and see it listed overseas, you will notice Grid Caddy’s can be purchased with a power board included at an extra cost – that is NOT the case for the ones supplied in Australia. They do NOT have Australian plugs/power boards to fit/install on them…
If you wanted to be “Full Factory” looking, you could order your tyre warmers in whatever model, size and colour in the LEO variant and then order a Grid Caddy with the LEO power board and be exactly like the teams in MotoGP? Remember though, the LEO variants with the LEO controller start to become $$$.
The frame is made of lightweight aluminium (less than 10 kg), it can be assembled/disassembled in a few minutes by removing only 6 screws and it closes occupying a minimum space (51x102x21 cm).
Grid Caddy can only be ordered in the version listed below here in Australia:
